NOTICE OF TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE VACANCY

Due to the retirement of Seward Township Trustee, Dan Roberts, we are seeking an individual to serve his remaining term. Interested candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Resident of Seward Township for at least 1 year
• 18 years of age or older
• A legal and registered voter of Seward Township

Interested candidates are asked to submit a letter of interest including why you are applying for this position and any relevant experience you would bring to the board.  Include your name, address, telephone number and email address for notification of receipt.

Please submit your letter of interest one of two ways by Monday, August 31, 2026:

• Via email to Michelle Salato at michellesalato@yahoo.com with a subject line of Seward Township Trustee Vacancy 
• Drop off your letter of interest addressed to Attn: Michelle Salato in the black Fed Ex box located to the left of the township office doors.  

All letters of interest must be received by Monday, August 31st  

The Seward Township Board of Trustees invites all applicants to the September 8th board meeting at 7:30 pm.

Something you want added to the annual meeting agenda?  Submit a request to the township board with 15 registered voters signatures.   Request must be submitted by March 1st, 2026.

September 3rd, 2025 Special Meeting Agenda

Special Meeting Agenda August 21, 2025

Matt Asselmeier will be presenting information on the project at the August 12th township board meeting and asking for volunteers to assist with the survey by visiting older homes and interviewing the owners for historical background.  

Visionkendall.org is a website for those interested in contributing to kendall county’s  comprehensive plan. The object is to create a plan for future growth and development  in the county. There is a short survey to fill out. Hard copies of that survey will also be available at the August township meeting.
